| Biography: | Chris Hayes is Director of Hunter Integrated Pain Service which is based at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle. He is a graduate of the University of Newcastle. He trained initially in anaesthesia before undertaking further studies in Pain Medicine. Chris's clinical and research interests include service redesign, outcome measurement, rational use of opioids, a whole person approach to pain and the use of social media to influence community beliefs about pain and its treatment. His roles within FPM have included contribution to the revised curriculum and training program and also development of the electronic Persistent Pain Outcomes Collaboration (ePPOC). Chris is chair of the Management Advisory Group of ePPOC and a member of the New South Wales Agency for Clinical Innovation’s Pain Network Executive. |
